Apology & Prayer Request

I had planned to do a post today for Elder Sophrony and another tomorrow for the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, but my plans got a bit fouled up. I got a call from my sister this afternoon saying that my father, Stephen, had been taken to the ER at St John the Evangelist Hospital in Tulsa, OK, after he had had a couple of brief blackout episodes, involving an increased heartrate and what looked like some mild seizures. But while he's had some blood tests and a CAT scan and is being kept overnight for monitoring, the episodes have not recurred since he's been under observation. He received Holy Unction from Fr Ambrose, the OCA priest in Tulsa (to whom I am immensely grateful), and to all appearances is now a pretty healthy man, but I'm staying overnight here in Oklahoma's second city just in case and plan to return to OKC tomorrow when he is released. Please pray for him, dear readers, and if I have a chance I may try to make up these posts, but otherwise, they may have to wait until next year. By the way, if anyone has the opportunity to have him commemorated, I would greatly appreciate that as well. He is a faithful Orthodox Christian, and a wonderful father.
